Creating and managing boards
Boards are the unit of work in MindWeaveBoard. A board is an infinite canvas with shapes, sticky notes, text, drawings, connectors, and frames — plus everyone you've invited. This page walks through the full board lifecycle.
Create a board
From the dashboard, click New board. Choose a name and the workspace it should live in (if your organisation has more than one). The canvas opens immediately — there's nothing to save manually, every change syncs as you make it.
If you want to start from a known shape, pick a template instead — the templates library has ready-made boards for retrospectives, planning, design reviews, and more.
TIP
On the Personal plan you can keep up to three active boards. Starter and above are unlimited.
Rename, describe, and tag
Click the board name in the top-left to rename it. Boards also accept a short description (visible on the dashboard) and tags for filtering.
Find boards quickly
The dashboard shows three lenses on your boards:
- Recent — boards you've opened lately, ordered by last view.
- Owned by me — boards you created.
- Shared with me — boards another member or organisation has shared with you (see Sharing with guests).
Use the search field above the list to filter by name or tag. The sidebar lists every workspace you belong to, and clicking a workspace name shows just its boards.
Duplicate, archive, delete
The ⋯ menu on any board card has:
- Duplicate — clones the whole canvas (shapes, frames, connectors, comments stay where they were) into a new board you own.
- Archive — hides the board from the active list. Archived boards are still searchable; you can restore them at any time.
- Delete — permanent. The board, its history, and its comments are removed. Only board owners and Org Admins can delete.
WARNING
Deletion is final. Archive instead if you might want the board back.
Board versions
Every board has a version history. From the canvas, open the History panel to see snapshots — each one captures the canvas at a point in time and you can restore from any of them. Version history is on by default on Starter and above.
Moving between workspaces
Boards can be moved between workspaces from the ⋯ menu → Move to workspace. Membership transfers with the board, but workspace-level roles (Editor / Viewer / etc.) re-resolve against the new workspace's member list.
See Moving boards between workspaces for the full procedure, including what happens to guests.
