Managing your organisation
Org Admin is the control panel for your organisation. From here you change the organisation's identity, manage members and workspaces, configure billing, and review the audit trail.
You reach Org Admin from your avatar menu in the top-right of the app, or directly at /org-admin.
What's on the Org Admin pages
The left sidebar groups admin tasks by area:
- Overview — at-a-glance: member count, board count, plan, recent activity.
- Members — invite, remove, change roles. See Inviting members.
- Workspaces — create, archive, change defaults. See Creating workspaces.
- Roles — review the role matrix and (on Enterprise) define custom roles. See Roles and permissions.
- Billing — change plan, update card, download invoices. See Billing and plans.
- Activity — audit trail of admin actions.
- Settings — organisation name, description, default workspace, member-creation policy, white-label branding.
Organisation name and identity
Click Settings → Organisation to change:
- Name — appears in the top-left of the app for every member.
- Slug — the URL fragment used in invitation links and board URLs. Changing it does not break existing links — old slugs continue to redirect.
- Description — internal-only; appears on the Members page.
- Time zone — used for activity-log timestamps and SLA windows.
White-label branding (Enterprise)
Enterprise plans can replace the MindWeaveBoard logo and accent colour with your organisation's. Upload an SVG logo, pick an accent colour, and the app re-skins for everyone in the organisation. Custom domains (e.g., boards.your-company.com) are negotiated separately as part of your contract.
TIP
White-label branding affects what your members see, not what guests see. A guest invited to a board renders the standard MindWeaveBoard branding — it's their account, in their own organisation.
Member-creation policy
Two settings worth knowing:
- Workspace creation — restrict workspace creation to Admins only (default on Enterprise), or allow any member.
- Invitation policy — restrict invitations to Admins only, or allow Editors to invite teammates as well. The default depends on plan.
Change these from Settings → Policies.
Audit + activity log
Activity lists every admin-relevant action — member changes, plan changes, workspace creation, role re-assignments. Filter by user, action type, and time range. Enterprise plans get extended retention and downloadable exports for compliance.
See Roles and permissions for what counts as auditable.
Who can be Org Admin
Anyone can be promoted to Org Admin by another Org Admin. There must be at least one Org Admin at all times; the app prevents you from removing the last one.
For continuity, most teams keep two Org Admins so neither is a single point of failure when someone is out.
